O M G! it's the Jonas Brothers!

FYI, Fi and Mad are crushing on Joe. Lib likes all of them. I like that the girls have crushes on some fairly sweet, seemingly nice boys. Seriously, they all wear chastity rings. Say what you will, I think it's sweet and a good influence.

This is the song that is currently played on repeat -over and over and over- in our house. Indeed, when this show aired last night, we had dvr'd it -so the girls watched this clip 3 times in a row. I'm sure they would have watched it ad nauseum had it not been past bedtime already. And then upon waking this morning, guess what got the first play of the day? So you can imagine my frustration when I got to work & regardless of the reggae playing in my earbuds, this song was running through my mind -over and over and over. It's a catchy tune, but still....

what the?

and she has, in the past 24 hours, referred to herself at least once as "Mrs. Jonas". (I'm not talking about Snick, Lib, or Fi.) ARGH! What is going on???? What have I started by teasingly calling at her door, "Hello? Mrs. Jonas? Mrs. Joe Jonas?" "...never thought I'd catch this love bug again..." in my head after 20 minutes on 'repeat'. Can't we rewind a couple years? I want a do-over. I'm not ready to be the mom of another adolescent. The older one is just barely out of her teens. Now we're evolving with this one out of tween attitude & into full-blown "puppy love." OMG. I don't recall Snick going through this phase with a celebrity. Well, maybe I do. If I remember correctly, it was Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet. How many times did Snick & her friends watch that movie at our house? In fact, once they watched it specifically to count how many times the main characters kissed onscreen. Sigh. And so it starts....

one-liner from a politically minded 10 year old

So you know that the girls now have Spanish as a regular curriculum at their new school. Madster's been practicing recognizing body parts with a Spanish version of Simon Says in class. Apparently Lib's been playing a bit of Simon Says in her ECE class as well: she started playing at home yesterday afternoon. I suggested we all play. The girls all jumped up & Maddie suggested we play in Spanish instead. We ran through a couple body parts & suddenly Maddie says, "I know what's Spanish for 'butt'!" "Really? What is it?" I asked. "Yeah! What's Spanish for 'butt'? 'McCain'!" (said with a Spanish accent). What a joker!
